Cleveland Love for "Forced Perspective"
“I was really motivated,” he says. “It was an honor and a privilege and responsibility to be able to make this film about Derek, to show the world his art, and also because I have some of the same problems as he does,” says Cavalier, who has also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. “I really wanted to make this story.”
As many of you know my first feature film "Forced Perspective" on my friend and childhood hero Derek Hess is premiering at the 2015 Cleveland International Film Festival on March 27th and 28th. I am beyond thrilled to be premiering in the city that shaped both Derek's story and my young adult life.
